Announcing the 2026
1794 Microgrants & Emerging Numismatist Program
What do you want to explore? Tell us what you need, why, and how it connects to our mission.
Microgrants
$1794 to help you achieve your goals — whether it’s for an on-going personal creative or research project, a classroom project, art supplies for a cultural heritage project, or simply to get you over the line on that current research project you’ve been working on. The two requirements are that whatever you use the funds for must connect explicitly with our mission statement, and that you must write or create or produce something during your grant year (no funding of old, completed projects, please). 18 or older only, please.
Curious about numismatics, but not sure where to start? Have you been following the coin world for a while, and are ready to dive deeper?
The Emerging Numismatist Program
This year, we are introducing three $1000 Emerging Numismatist Grants. Emerging Numismatists are people who have begun to study coins, but may be in search of a way to deepen their interest or involvement. If you are selected, we will match you with a “numis-mentor” and the money you receive can fund travel to a convention, go towards books, or even a numismatics-related a course. Anyone, at any age, can be an emerging numismatist! Many people pick up the hobby later in life, so if you’re interested in getting into coins, this is the grant for you.
